When to use water

Many gardeners use garlic irrigation on an ongoing basis. Making a not too concentrated infusion, they use it instead of ordinary water for irrigation. With this choice of using infusion, you should carefully examine the plant. If it is absolutely healthy, this way of leaving is quite acceptable. Prevention

Bark for orchids: examples of preparation and use cases

After a long winter, an exotic beauty can be fed for active growth and flowering. The best environmentally friendly remedy is garlic infusion for orchids. It is used twice with an interval of 15 days, between garlic irrigation there must be regular watering. The result will be visible after the first use of garlic tincture:

  • for 3-4 days, the leaves become dense, shiny;
  • after a week, new thick roots appear;
  • two weeks later, peduncles appear.

As a prophylaxis, such an infusion can be used at any time of the year if the leaves of the plant become soft and look unhealthy.

Note! When the plant sleeps, it is not necessary to fertilize it, there will be no benefit from this.

During flowering, you need to water with caution, as there is a risk of falling young buds

Treatment

If pests have been detected in the soil or at the base of the flower stem, they are treated until the signs of infection have completely disappeared. Moreover, not only watering the plant, but also spraying the leaves. Pests will die and disappear from the soil after the third use of garlic water. It perfectly neutralizes the soil from the larvae of bugs.

Important! When spraying orchids, it is important not to get on the flowers and buds, because the solution leaves burns.

During treatment, watering should be alternated with conventional, so as not to harm the plant.

Flower restoration

Orchids suffer from improper care, watering regimen, and temperature. Beginning flower growers find a painful state in the last stages, when the plant is in a half-alive state. You can feed the orchid with garlic water as a medicine with the following signs of improper care:

  • withering foliage;
  • yellowing of the sheet plate in whole or in part;
  • lack of new sheets;
  • decay or drying of the roots;
  • stunting of the root system;
  • lack of flowering.

During treatment, it is important not only to feed the plant, but also to restore all the necessary conditions for its full growth. The results of treatment are noticeable after the first watering, but sometimes a full recovery takes up to three months.

Soil change

During the transplant, the plants are inspected and cut off its damaged dry roots. This procedure often deprives an orchid of 50 to 75% of the root processes. After such a “haircut”, the orchid grows the root system, not releasing new shoots of leaves and peduncles. Healing water speeds up this process.

Garlic contributes to the active growth of healthy roots, filling them with life and energy

Magic potion recipes

Wonderful water can be prepared as a concentrate that requires dilution, or be ready to be infused for irrigation.

Concentrated

  • 85 g of garlic;
  • 0.5 l of water;

Important! The concentrate cannot be used in its pure form for watering or spraying, it will burn the roots and leaves of the plant.

Instant concentrate

To use the concentrate on the day of its manufacture, you need hot water. The head of garlic is peeled and chopped in any convenient way. After pouring hot water, let it brew for 20 minutes. After this time, you can mix in the ratio of 1.5 tbsp. tablespoons to half a liter of clean water.

Watering Methods

Succinic acid for orchids: examples of divorce and application

The usual way to water orchids is to immerse the pot in a container of water. Watering orchids with garlic water is done the same way. You should take the container into which the pot with the plant will enter, pour the garlic solution and put the flowerpot so that it is 2/3 in the water. After time, the pot is placed in another container or sink to allow excess fluid to drain. Depending on the purpose of such baths, the pot is in the water for 15 minutes. up to 3 hours. If watering with additives is done as a preventative measure, a minimum amount of time is needed. If root treatment or getting rid of parasites is carried out, maximum stay in the treatment solution is necessary here.

Note! The amount of watering time depends on the size of the pot and the root system of the plant.

Watering an orchid in the usual way does not make sense, since the loose and dry substrate for these exotics does not have time to get wet. To wet the topsoil it is better to use spraying. This method is used to treat the roots and leaves of a plant.

Spraying is used for problems with the elasticity of leaves and stems, yellowing of leaves and poor root growth. Also, spraying is an excellent prevention from external pests that can migrate from neighboring flowers.

Important! During spraying, plants must be monitored so that water does not drain into the base of the leaf and does not accumulate at the stem. It can contribute to the appearance of rot and mold on the flower.

The need for watering is determined by drying the soil in the pot and changing the color of the roots. A plant that is saturated with moisture will have bright green roots; if it is lacking, they will turn gray. Violated irrigation regimen also produce leaflets that become lethargic and sinewy. Use garlic water as an irrigation should not be more than twice a month.

Note! It is better to use a freshly prepared infusion for each watering.
