Gelenium is a perennial shrub flower, tenacious and unpretentious. It blooms until late autumn. Its many varieties are painted in tones of late summer - yellow, orange, red, red-brown. The middle of the flowers is convex darker color. If you prefer this plant, then picking up varieties, you can paint your plot with bright lights from July to the end of October.

At the porch

Plant near the porch the popular bright red hybrid Rubenzwerg helenium variety. It grows to 65 cm, blooms in July and pleases the eye until autumn. If you place it next to the snow-white panicled hydrangea Polar bear, which blooms at the same time, then your porch will be decorated throughout the summer season.

Near the wall

If you have a wall facing the sunny side, feel free to plant light-loving gelenium there. All autumn varieties will feel great there. Against the background of red brick or wood, golden flowers of the September gold variety, Brassing Gold will look good.

At the fence

Some varieties of gelenium grow up to 1.5 m in height (Sonnen wunder), and there are up to 1.8 m (Superbum Rubrum). And since they are growing enough, they can serve as a small shelter from prying eyes.

Framing tracks

Plant yellow heleniums along the paths combining them with blue and purple flowers of sage, asters, monard. Or red varieties with snow-white daisies or chrysanthemums.

Fountain or pond decoration

Gelenium feels very well in humid sunny areas near a pond or fountain.

Bright accent

In the flower beds, gelenium is used as a plant of the background and middle plan. But, see that other perennials do not interfere with this flower. If you use boxwood, make it a frame of a flower bed, then inside it is enough to plant different types of gelenium. It will be a colorful accent in any corner of your site.

Rural landscape

Gelenium will look spectacular with yellow-gold marigolds, goldenrod, snow-white phlox, garden daisies, creating together a unique rural flavor, reassuring you when you want to retire.
